According to customs data, in the first 10 months of this year, China's intermediate exports to Brazil reached 216.86 billion yuan, up 11.8%, accounting for 50.2% of China's total exports to Brazil. Among them, textile products, auto parts, electrical equipment and flat panel display modules and other intermediate exports grew rapidly, with growth rates of 15.4%,26.5%,31.2% and 22.2% respectively. Jumper Connectors,Terminal Block 2 Pin and Flat Cables are popular in Brazil.

But behind this is Brazil's repeated moves against Chinese products. In terms of photovoltaic products, Chinese photovoltaic module products dominate the Brazilian market with a 99% market share. Starting from January 1, 2024, Brazil will resume the import tariffs on photovoltaic modules and wind turbines (the import tariff rate for photovoltaic modules is 10.8%). By the end of the year, on November 15, the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC) announced that it would increase the import tariff on photovoltaic modules from 9.6% to 25%.

On October 17, the Brazilian Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Development (MDIC) and the Executive Board for Foreign Trade (Gecex) imposed additional tariffs on a range of Chinese goods, including: · A 35 per cent tariff on optical fibers and cables; · A 25 per cent tariff on a number of steel products; · The tariff on sodium hypochlorite (sodium chlorite) was raised from 9% to 10.8%; · Other Chinese goods subject to additional tariffs include metal foil, spray cans, titanium dioxide (used in paints, sunscreens, food coloring, etc.), and polyester fibers (mainly used in clothing and can be used in pipes, belts, filter cloth, ropes, canvas tents, tires). In addition, Brazil has launched anti-dumping investigations against Chinese products this year, including speakers, atomizers, non-surgical latex and PVC gloves, subcutaneous needles, combs, brass keys, padlocks, ethanolamine and other products.
